Collab work:
This picture was created by me and a very talented photographer . He provided the below sunset, which I loved, and I produced the space scene above the photo.

Check out mightyflup for some more breath taking photos.

Nice integration of images. What software are you using?

I think that for the most part it looks good. After all, I let the whole fullview show up on screen, and every time the image would load just another tick, I would humm a pleasant appreciative outburst. Aesthetically, it looks excellent, with both images on their own looking very excellent.

The compositting is something that worries me a bit, though. The planets in the top look just like a flat image overlaid atop the sunset photo, with both of them standing apart, not really interacting with one another. One key part of this is lighting. On the lower image, there's a deep orange hue making up that sunset. Spatially speaking, these planets are in the same solar system, so they would also get the majority of their light from the same source. I can see some semblance of being lit from below, but it doesn't exactly carry the same hue. Maybe if the lighting on the planets was more of an orange instead of a cyan, it would help integrate the lighting sources together.

Second point would be that the images are placed very far apart. Now if I was project leader, and I was the one with the money, connections, and limousines (thank God I'm not), I would make the following changes. First off, I would lower the planets, just so that the composition overlaps with one another. By putting them somewhere behind those clouds, it establishes a sense of definite volume in the image, the clouds over them giving a more definite sense that those planets are out in space, not in the sky. If you know what I mean. The second thing I would do is make the top light less prominent, and increase the intensity of the light from the sunset. The white-ish green light looks good, but it's not important to the theme, which is the sunset and the planets. Realistically speaking, if that bright of a light was there, the planet's surface would be A) bright as day all around and B) probably on fire because it's basking in two suns.

The way you have everything made looks excellent. I'm really loving the texture on the planet. It's just their placement that leaves a bit more to be desired. Regardless, it still looks fantastic on first glance, so therefore I'm adding it to my faves.
I don't really mind the technical errors (mostly cause I wouldn't think to recognize them myself). From a purely visual appeal angle, I think its a very good piece, though I do understand where getting rid of a little of the empty middle could be beneficial. If the planets were lower by the clouds they would look like they were more related to the sunset and the rest of the piece. Other than that it looks quite good to me.

Hang on so u like it???

I would just like to explain the placing of the planet :), I firstly like you said had the planets just a bit lower, but I had the clash of the planets and the clouds, I could not place the planets behind the clouds properly because when I did I hade to place the blue sky as well over it so that did work :(. so for me to get quite a good effect was to place the planet just above the clouds, but to cover up I faded the background space scene into the blue sky of the photo which gave it the effect that it was still above the clouds :).

Oh yer, just because there are two suns it doesnt mean that the overal temperature is hot :).
My A-level physics is paying off :D

change is good, you go first.
Light travels faster than sound, which is why a person can appear bright, until they open their mouth.
hating me won't make you pretty.

On the black wind forever we ride on together
Destroying your evil with freedom our guide
When the master will storm us
He'll stand high before us
Our hearts filled with splendour
Our swords will shine over the light
